1. App Store and Google Play
If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) applies to the app together with these terms. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA prevails.
If you got the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply to your use of Google Play, including purchases and refunds, together with these terms.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial enjoyment, on phones you own or control, as allowed by the rules of the store you got it from. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, lend or redistribute the app, its puzzles or its word lists;
- use the puzzles or word lists for commercial purposes, such as printing or publishing them;
- modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- try to get around the Full Access purchase or interfere with how the app works.
3. Full Access
The app is free to download. Full Access is an optional one-time in-app purchase that opens Medium and Hard Sudoku and all 60 word lists. It is not a subscription. It is sold and delivered by Apple or Google: they take the payment, apply taxes and show the price in your currency before you confirm. You can restore Full Access on another phone signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account, using “Restore purchase” in the app.
4. Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you paid, under its refund policy: Apple or Google Play. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. If you need help, see the support page or email us.
5. Content
The puzzles are generated by our own software, and the word lists are written by us. The app, its design, text, puzzles and word lists belong to us and are protected by copyright. The typefaces and open-source components in the app are used under their own licences.
6. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully and only for its purpose: playing puzzles for your own enjoyment. Do not use it in a way that could damage it, other people or the stores.
7. Availability and changes to the app
We work to keep the app reliable and its puzzles correct, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, that it will work on every phone or operating system version, or that it will be free of errors. We may update, change or stop offering the app or some of its features.
8. Our responsibility
The app is provided “as is” to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
9. Apple-specific terms
If you use the app on an Apple device:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Support is provided by us.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid for it (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app gets new features. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts or consumer bodies there where those laws allow it.
